{"id":998,"date":"2019-06-13T12:17:37","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T11:17:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hypervlab.co.uk\/?p=998"},"modified":"2019-07-30T08:59:26","modified_gmt":"2019-07-30T07:59:26","slug":"installing-centos-7-6-1810-on-hyper-v","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hypervlab.co.uk\/?p=998","title":{"rendered":"Installing CentOS 7.6.1810 on Hyper-V"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 4<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span>\n<p>In this blog post i will cover the installation of CentOS 7.6.1810 Release in a Hyper-V Generation Two Virtual Machine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly you will want to navigate over to the centos website:  <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"https:\/\/www.centos.org\/download\/  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.centos.org\/download\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.centos.org\/download\/ <\/a>and download the latest media (NOTE: At time of posting the latest iso was: CentOS-7-x86_64-Minimal-1810.iso. (This is not covered in this post.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget when using Linux Generation Two Virtual Machines to change the Secure Boot Template to &#8220;Microsoft UEFI Certificate Authority&#8221; During the OS Installation you will be asked for a local user and if you want to configure the root password.
